Oki, relatives and respected members of Siksika Nation.
My name is Lars G. Duck Chief, and I humbly stand before you today as a candidate for Siksika Chief and Council.

I was raised in Cluny, and I proudly hail from the Running Rabbit and Many Guns Clans. I am the youngest of eight brothers and three sisters, and I have been married to my beautiful wife, Jocelyn Duck Chief, for twenty-four years. Together, we are blessed with two daughters, one son, and two grandsons.

Faith and family are at the center of who I am. I am a devout Catholic Christian, deeply guided by Traditional Siksika values. I am currently studying Theology, with the hope — Lord willing — to become the first Siksika Nation Catholic Deacon. In my spare time, I find peace in playing guitar and reflecting on the gifts our Creator has given us.

Professionally, I have served our Nation for over seventeen years in the fields of First Nations Health, Lands and Environment, Membership, and Economic Development. These experiences have allowed me to understand the importance of strong governance, transparency, and effective community service.

As I continue my Master of Business Administration, my goal is to apply sound management, planning, and leadership principles to strengthen our governance — ensuring that our Nation continues to grow with integrity, unity, and purpose.

If elected, I will work tirelessly to promote accountability, good governance, and community empowerment — supporting our youth, honoring our elders, and creating lasting opportunities for all Siksika members.

Together, we can build a Nation that reflects both the wisdom of our ancestors and the promise of future generations.
